Seattle, Wash (May 21, 2007) -- Guidant Financial Group has been named one of "Washington’s Best 100 Companies to Work For" by Washington CEO Magazine.

Guidant was chosen out of hundreds of other companies vying for a spot on the list. According to Bob Ritter, publisher and CEO of the magazine, the selected companies "have demonstrated that they value their employees and their contribution to overall success." The magazine’s evaluation process included surveys of employees and management and application reviews by top human resource professionals.

Guidant employee surveys ranked the company’s training, benefits, and supportive corporate culture as particularly high. "Management understands that the greatest asset we hold is our employees," says David Nilssen, Guidant’s CEO and president. "Our employees know that we welcome their ideas and we support their personal and professional growth."

The 100 winning companies will be honored June 28 at a celebratory dinner at Washington State Convention and Trade Center. Now in its 16th year, the Best Companies competition recognizes corporate excellence in the state of Washington. In recognition of this achievement awards are given to the top three companies in four different categories: small, medium, large and not-for-profit/governmental.
